Open Postdoctoral Positions in Prostate Cancer Research at the Saatcioglu Lab About Us: The Saatcioglu Lab investigates molecular mechanisms in prostate cancer (PCa), focusing on androgen receptor (AR) signaling, tumor stress response pathways, and cellular adaptation under adverse conditions. Our research targets critical nodes within these pathways to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets, particularly for castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Position Overview: We are seeking postdoctoral researchers with expertise in molecular biology, cancer research, or related fields to join our team. Candidates will work on translational projects exploring AR-driven gene networks, stress response pathways, and novel therapeutic strategies for advanced PCa. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct research on AR signaling, UPR, and cellular adaptation in PCa. - Investigate molecular targets for biomarker discovery and therapeutic interventions. - Engage in experimental design, data analysis, and manuscript preparation. Qualifications: - A recent Ph.D. in molecular biology, cancer biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related field. - Proficiency in molecular and cell biology techniques (e.g., gene editing, qPCR, Western blotting, CRISPR functional screens). - Experience with cell culture and in vivo cancer models, as well as stress response assays. - A strong publication record demonstrating research skills in cancer biology or cellular signaling. - Bioinformatics experience is a plus, including proficiency in analyzing such as scRNA-seq, RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, sc-ATAC-seq, Perturb-seq, and CRISPR functional screens. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a research-driven environment. - Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. What We Offer: - A collaborative, innovative research environment with access to advanced facilities. - Mentorship and training for career development. How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit: - A cover letter outlining research experience and goals. - A CV with publications. - Contact information for two or three references.
