Kongye Lu

Ph.D STUDENT

I am a PhD candidate at the Saatcioglu Lab in the Department of Biosciences at the University of Oslo. I have a MD degree in clinical medicine (specialty: surgery). My research interests include basic molecular and cell biology, especially signaling pathways in cancer. In particular, my work focuses on endoplasmic reticulum stress pathways and the role of the ensuing unfolded protein response (UPR) as it relates to both prostate and breast cancer. Outside of the lab, I very much enjoy sports and always want to try something new. Since moving to Norway, I have been learning all kinds of skiing.
